The 7-Day Machame Route, also called the “Whiskey Route”, is one of the most scenic and popular Kilimanjaro trekking routes. This extended itinerary provides better acclimatization and increases your chances of reaching Uhuru Peak (5,895m) successfully. The route features stunning landscapes, diverse ecological zones, and a climb high, sleep low strategy for maximum summit success.
7-Day Machame Route Itinerary
Start your Kilimanjaro trek at Machame Gate, hiking through a lush rainforest filled with exotic flora and wildlife. Reach Machame Camp, where you’ll spend your first night in tents.
